Snow!

Seems that snow here in Central Illinois has been hit or miss in recent years.  We had an amazing snowfall last week.  It started with freezing rain which then turned into blowing snow.  Although not fun at all for the evening commute, the results were breathtaking.  It was as if god had painted each trunk and branch of the trees.  I couldn't wait to get outside with my camera.

The evergreens were by far my favorite to look at

A place I spend a lot of time - notice how the trees across the lake look like dandilions

After work, I headed out to Funks Grove to take some photos there.  Interestingly, they didn't seem to have the accumulation of ice and degree of blowing snow that was present 10-15 miles away.
