WHAT TO WEAR

Looking for some inspiration?  I have created this Pinterest page for "What to Wear" suggestions.

What I recommend for all subjects:

Choose a lot of color, cool patterns, layers, accessories, textures, diversity, and any special props or items that can add a POP to your images.  Scarves, jewelry, belts, and shoes can add a lot of interest to your photographs; just make sure they are in the same color families you have chosen to coordinate with.

Take note of the time of year and colors of the foliage. You want to stand out against your background, not blend.  Also consider your home's decor; if you're planning to hang large canvases or frame some of your photographs for display, you'll want to make sure the color pallets don't conflict.

What to avoid: In general, I recommend avoiding all white or all black clothing.  In addition, characters or large logos will distract from your photo, as well as too many patterns.  Don't forget the shoes...dirty/scuffed shoes, shoes that don't match the outfit, or tennis shoes with neon colors can distract from a great photograph.

I want to capture the unique personalities that you each convey… through wardrobe, locations and and your personal style. Our session is about creating art for your home and is an investment.
